We are seeking a Family Medicine physician to join the Faculty at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital's Family Medicine Residency Program in Park Ridge, Illinois. Family Medicine Residency | Advocate Lutheran General Hospital | Park Ridge, IL 

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital is a 645-bed tertiary care teaching hospital and Level I Trauma Center serving the greater Chicago area. The hospital supports numerous residency and fellowship programs, giving the incoming physician access to a broad multidisciplinary network and substantial specialty support. 

Advocate Lutheran General’s longstanding Family Medicine Residency Program, which dates to 1973 is one of the Chicago area’s oldest and most highly regarded programs.

The program emphasizes practical education in real-world care settings and prepares graduates for varied career paths, including outpatient practice, immediate care, academic medicine, hospital-based work, and fellowship training. Faculty include board-certified family physicians and behavioral health professionals, with expertise in:

Training and/or Experience Required
  • Graduation from an accredited medical school as an M.D./D.O.
  • Successful completion of Family Medicine residency at an accredited healthcare institution.
  • Board Certification/Eligibility in Family Medicine from said residency
  • 2-3 years post residency experience in a same or similar setting. New graduates/chief residents with a demonstrated experience or interest in teaching are also encouraged to apply.
  • Established skills or interest in POCUS
  • Interest in Nursing Home rounding
