Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and Wake Forest University School of Medicine is actively recruiting multiple full-time, open-rank Orthopaedic Surgeons with fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction and extensive arthroplasty experience to support our continued growth and expansion across the Triad region of North Carolina.


Highlights
  • Practice Locations: Opportunities are available across multiple sites in North Carolina’s dynamic Triad region, including Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, and Lexington. These roles offer a dynamic mix of clinical environments, including our main academic campus, regional hospitals, and ambulatory surgery centers.
  • Clinical Focus: Specialization in total joint replacement, including both routine and complex arthroplasty procedures. Responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient care, with optional involvement in research and education.
  • Teaching & Research: Engage in resident and fellow education, with opportunities for clinical and laboratory research for those interested.
  • Collaboration: Join a department of 90 faculty members, including 6 dedicated arthroplasty surgeons.
  • Call Expectations: General orthopaedic call, not to exceed 4–6 nights per month.
  • Support: Dedicated APP and clinical support staff.

Training and/or Experience Required
  • Board Certification: Board certified or board eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery.
  • Fellowship Training: Fellowship in adult reconstruction/arthroplasty recommended.
  • Licensure: Eligible for North Carolina medical licensure

Its nationally recognized specialists provide expert care in joint replacement, spine surgery, sports medicine, and orthobiologics, offering cutting-edge treatments and technologies that improve outcomes and enhance recovery.

High Point Medical Center
Located in High Point, this hospital has served the community since 1904 and became part of Wake Forest Baptist in 2018. High Point is home to a multidisciplinary orthopedic and sports medicine clinic offering Robotics-assisted knee replacement using the CORI™ Surgical System for personalized, precise joint alignment, the Piedmont Joint Replacement Center, specialist and a full continuum of care.

Lexington Medical Center
Located in Lexington, North Carolina, Lexington Medical Center delivers advanced orthopedic care with a strong emphasis on sports medicine for athletes of all ages and skill levels. The hospital also specializes in minimally invasive joint replacement and trauma care. Its recently expanded Surgical Services Facility features state-of-the-art operating rooms designed to support high-quality, efficient surgical outcomes.

Davie Medical Center
Davie Medical Center is a recognized regional leader in joint replacement, consistently ranked among America’s 100 Best Hospitals for this specialty. The hospital features a dedicated orthopedic floor with private patient rooms and an in-house physical therapy gym designed to support recovery from day one. Eligible patients benefit from same-day discharge options, enhancing convenience and comfort. Davie also utilizes advanced imaging and robotic-assisted surgical technologies to deliver precise, minimally invasive procedures and exceptional outcomes.

Greensboro Surgery Center (Coming Soon)

Currently under development in Northwest Greensboro, this new facility will include an outpatient surgery center with three operating rooms and two procedure rooms, on-site infusion bays, pharmacy, imaging, and physical therapy. This $163 million investment reflects Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist’s commitment to expanding access to high-quality care in Guilford County.
