Wake Forest School of Medicine’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art evaluation and treatment of orthopedic problems, educating the next Orthopaedic and podiatric surgeons and researching advanced treatments. With over 25 academic locations, 3 research laboratories, 90 faculty, 2 residencies and 9 fellowships we have a wide range of clinical, educational and research complements.

Our subspecialty Orthopaedic surgeons provided compassionate, high-quality medical care to patients. Interdepartmental consultation across 10 subspecialties and a strong commitment to research and teaching keep the department at the forefront of new developments in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with orthopedic and rehabilitation problems.

  • Clinical Focus: Candidate can treat conditions related to orthopaedic surgery, including arthroplasty, sports medicine and fractures
  • Teaching Opportunities: Orthopaedic resident and fellow teaching, clinical and laboratory research opportunities available if interested
  • Location: Patient care in an established and busy subspeciality orthopaedic practice in Lexington and Salisbury, North Carolina
  • Call Expectations: Call expectations in alignment with other orthopaedic surgeons not to exceed 4-6 nights per month general orthopaedic call at a regional hospital

  • Be part of an integrated nationally recognized organization with physician-led medical group and embedded service line
  • Leverage access to DAX Copilot, an AI-powered clinical documentation tool integrated with Epic, streamlining clinical workflows by generating draft patient notes for efficient review, editing, and signature
  • Experience an environment that provides safe and equitable care for all patients
Training and/or Experience Required
  • Certification: Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery with fellowship training in arthroplasty.
  • License: Eligible for NC Medical License.
