Atrium Health Navicent, in partnership with Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute, is recruiting a Cardiologist with an interest in Heart Failure to join a growing and highly respected cardiovascular program. We are seeking a forward thinking physician committed to excellence, quality outcomes, and evidence based care within a collaborative, patient centered environment.

The Atrium Health Navicent Heart & Vascular Center offers a comprehensive, state of the art cardiovascular platform, including cardiac catheterization laboratories, hybrid OR/cath lab, dedicated CV operating rooms, EP lab, CVICU, and an on site cardiac rehabilitation center. The program is supported by an experienced, multidisciplinary team of anesthesiologists, perfusionists, physician assistants, nurses, and specialized support staff.

Atrium Health Navicent is a nationally recognized academic medical center and nationally verified Level I Trauma Center, serving a 30 county region and a population of nearly 750,000 across central Georgia.

Highlights
Clinical Responsibilities
Inpatient heart failure consultations, rounding, and outpatient heart failure clinic
Active involvement with a multidisciplinary cardiogenic shock team
Procedural opportunities including CardioMEMS, endomyocardial biopsies, Barostim, and echo/EKG interpretation

Advanced Therapies
Durable mechanical circulatory support (LVADs)
Comprehensive surgical and minimally invasive options, including CABG, valve surgery, and implantable cardiac devices

Program Opportunity
Practice advanced heart failure care within a robust cardiovascular institute
Contribute to the continued growth of a comprehensive heart failure and advanced therapies program
Opportunity to participate in monthly cardiogenic shock case reviews and engage in cross regional collaboration with advanced heart failure colleagues


Training and/or Experience Required
BE/BC cardiovascular disease 
Completion of advanced heart failure fellowship program preferred, but not required 
Interest in critical care is welcomed
