- Ensure an educational environment conducive to meeting the ACGME competency areas
- Development, review, and updates of didactic curriculum
- Oversee compliance at participating training sites
- Lead and participate in recruitment, assessment and promotion of fellows, and education- and program-related committees.
- Provide ongoing faculty development and improvement opportunities
- Provide mentorship and guidance to fellows
- Oversee program coordinator duties
- MD/DO
- Current Medical License from, and in good standing with the North Carolina Medical Board
- Current certification in Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine
- Three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience in an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency or Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship**
- Ongoing clinical activity and ongoing academic achievements in cardiovascular disease which may include publications, development of educational programs, or research
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to utilize technology effectively for the administration of the fellowship program
