Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center seeks a board-eligible or board-certified Structural Heart Imaging Physician to join our distinguished faculty.
Highlights
Join a robust Structural Heart Imaging team (4 intraprocedural imagers, 2 experienced clinic-based physicians as part of our multi-disciplinary valve clinic).
High volume structural center: > 450 TAVRS, 70+ mitral interventions, 20+ tricuspid interventions and 300+ left atrial appendage occlusion procedures annually.
Active participation in major clinical trials evaluating structural heart therapies and in imaging-based research in echocardiography, cardiac CT, and cardiac MRI 
Access to state-of-the art imaging equipment including newest Philips echo equipment, Siemens Alpha Photon CT scanner, and Siemens 3T and 1.5T cardiac MRIs 
Primary location: 1,000+ bed Carolinas Medical Center hospital. 
Schedule: anticipate 2-3 imaging days and 1-2 clinic days per week

Training and/or Experience Required
Board-certified or board-eligible in cardiovascular disease and echocardiography; expertise in cardiovascular CT and/or cardiac MRI preferred.
Advanced training in intraprocedural echocardiography (via an advanced imaging fellowship or > 2 years’ experience performing transcatheter mitral / tricuspid valve interventions and left atrial appendage occlusion procedures).
Experienced in the pre- and peri-operative care of patients with valvular heart disease
Committed to active participation in a multi-disciplinary heart team, synthesizing and presenting multi-modality imaging data 
Seeking an academically focused clinical opportunity utilizing the latest cutting-edge technology and engaged in clinical research.
