Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute, a part of Atrium Health, is currently seeking a board-eligible/board-certified Non-Invasive Adult Cardiologist to join the existing staff at Atrium Health Cabarrus Medical Center in Concord, NC, 25 miles northeast of downtown Charlotte. 

 Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute is one of the Southeast's largest cardiac and vascular programs employing more than 120 physicians in a network of more than 25 locations to provide the highest quality care available to patients with cardiovascular disease. Sanger has more than 50 years of experience in providing comprehensive acute and chronic cardiovascular services, including the region's only heart transplant center and pediatric heart surgery program.  Atrium Health Cabarrus is the institute’s second largest tertiary care center, delivering care in the rapidly growing Cabarrus county and to the surrounding counties north of Charlotte. 
Highlights
Practice based at second largest tertiary care hospital (550+ beds) with the Charlotte area’s Atrium Health System as part of the Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute with a full cardiovascular program including advanced structural/interventional cardiology, all EP services, advanced CHF services, and advanced structural imaging service lines with 17 dedicated cardiologists, 4 cardiac surgeons, full vascular surgical support with a 6 physician team, plus extensive APP support in all areas with over 21 cardiology based APPs. 


Physician position is within general cardiology with a call rotation which includes 1:6 weekend coverage 


Schedule includes: 


Hospital general service coverage with plans to expand to an additional dedicated CCU service in 2026 


Extensive opportunity to be involved in imaging including echo, TEE, nuclear (perfusion SPECT and PET/stress PET), coronary and structural CT, and a large cardiac MR program.  


Clinic days in our Concord and Lake Norman/Cornelius office locations 

Training and/or Experience Required

Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease. Interest in advanced imaging and critical care cardiology desirable, but not required. 

Skilled in echo, TEE, and nuclear required.  Advanced echo, CT, and CMR optional. 

Seeking a clinical opportunity in an academically minded busy clinical practice environment utilizing the latest cutting-edge technologies.
