- Develop and implement the overall market Breast Health strategic plan in collaboration with service line and medical group leadership.
- Lead planning and development for a new comprehensive breast program facility, optimizing patient-centered, multidisciplinary care.
- Provide oversight of daily clinical operations for ambulatory clinics (Breast Care Centers), ensuring seamless coordination, quality outcomes, and patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate across disciplines to deliver evidence-based, guideline-driven care, advocating for best practices in multidisciplinary conference settings.
- Partner with service line leadership to optimize nurse navigation, survivorship, high-risk breast care, and integrative medicine programs.
- Participate in faculty and staff recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship to strengthen the multidisciplinary team.
- Support quality and outcomes initiatives through collaboration with institutional and cancer service line quality teams.
- Participate in budget planning, capital projects, and programmatic growth efforts.
- Lead and contribute to clinical and translational research, including participation in and development of investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored trials.
- Maintain an active academic portfolio, including publications, presentations, and scholarly engagement.
- Collaborate across the Atrium Health enterprise to advance breast surgery research, innovation, and education.
- Approximately 70% clinical effort including breast surgical oncology practice and participation in breast surgery call.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible and fellowship-trained in Breast Surgery or Surgical Oncology with a focus on breast disease.
- A nationally recognized surgeon with extensive clinical expertise, research productivity, and a strong publication record.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and success managing multidisciplinary teams in complex healthcare environments.
