Description & Requirements

Join us in The Department of Cardiovascular Medicine of Wake Forest University School of Medicine as a full-time faculty member in the section of Heart Failure, Heart Transplant and MCS. Candidates with subspecialty training are preferred.  Candidates should have completed a fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology. The position includes teaching medical students, residents and fellows with opportunities for research. The inpatient service follows a multidisciplinary team approach to inpatient management.  We provide subspecialty services in pulmonary hypertension, Amyloid and HOCM, in addition to heart transplantation, durable and nondurable MCS.  Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.

Training and/or Experience Required

To be considered qualified, candidates must be:

  • MD/DO (or equivalent)
  • BC/BE
  • Fellowship trained
  • Successful record of clinical and service excellence, research experience, and interest in graduate medical education
  • North Carolina licensure or eligible
