Highlights
Mayfair South – 1055 North Mayfair Road
Reason for opening – growth
The patient panel will be grown, but the partners at the site are at the 75th – 90th percentile for production. Building a panel will not be hard.
Currently 5 site partners, adding a 6th.
The site prefers a 4-day work week and has Tuesday to Friday schedule with Monday’s off
The site is open from 7:20 to 5 pm, the clinician can work to create a schedule in this time to also meet the 36 patient contact hours.  100 hours extended hours per year are expected (before 8 am or during the 12 – 1 lunch hour)
Call ratio is 1:6 with the addition of the new team member.  The call is managed by the nurse triage line where 85% of the calls are resolved without involving the physician on call.
What are the specialties at the site - Within the building there is Allergy, Cardiology, Endo, Oncology, Nero, Ortho (down the street) and Anti Coagulation.
The site has a pharmacy dispensary, a lab on site for rapid. Draws can be done and sent out daily.   Imaging is on site for CT, Nuc, general diagnostic.
The physician partner will have a shared office and will have 2 exam rooms per physician. They can do procedures and there is a shared procedure room
The physician will have their own MA. There is a shared RN that works with every 2-3 physicians responsible for nurse triage at the site. The site does not have APC and don’t plan to add.
What makes this site great or unique compared to other sites? – This site is very collaborative site, with a great patient panel. A mix of suburban patients from Elm Grove, Brookfield and Wauwatosa, but also on Milwaukee’s bus line offering an urban and working-class patient panel.  The site also has a great mix of LGBTQ+ patients and a physician interested in a diverse patient panel.  The location is in a great area with lots of activity.
What are some of the struggles we face to be up front with the candidate? – While this is a great site, the land lock in the area limits the schedule a bit, only allowing for a 4-day work week from Tuesday to Friday.  There will be a shared office space and only 2 exam rooms most days. If physician partners are okay with this, the site will be very attractive for most candidates.
What does the patient demographic look like? – The patient panel will have a unique diversity of payor mix, ethnicity and supports physicians to build a panel that meets their practice preferences, including women’s health, LGBTQ+ and all age ranges.
The team dynamic is great, and they are a very collaborate group. The physician partners tend to be a younger, new physician team that supports and open-door policy.
