Located on Chicago’s North Side, is one of the state’s largest, most comprehensive community teaching hospitals. It is affiliated with several universities and medical schools and provides a scholarly educational environment with an emphasis on clinical proficiency. There are currently over 250 residents and fellows across various areas of specialty. Illinois Masonic is a nationally recognized health care institution and a Level I Trauma Center and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. It offers a wide range of medical specialties with advanced treatment and state of the art technology and innovations for patient comfort and clinical excellence.

Wisconsin: National Leadership in Structural Heart
At Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center, heart teams marked a major milestone with 5,000 TAVR procedures, placing the program among the top four TAVR programs in the nation. This achievement reflects deep expertise in structural heart disease and a long‑standing commitment to advancing minimally invasive therapies.
Illinois: Comprehensive, Life‑Changing Care
In Illinois, Advocate Health Care performed more than 20,000 heart procedures, leading the state in cardiovascular care and helping patients return to everyday life without missing a beat.
- Advocate Children’s Hospital launched its pediatric heart transplant program, bringing life‑saving care closer to home for children with the most complex cardiac conditions.
- Advocate Christ Medical Center reached its 1,000th successful atrial fibrillation implant procedure, offering patients a safer, more advanced path to long‑term heart health.
North Carolina: Innovation at Scale
At Atrium Health Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute, clinical volume and innovation underscore the breadth of expertise across the region:

Sanger’s CT‑First Strategy doubled scanner assets and significantly improved imaging efficiency. Robust clinical research continues to advance new options in heart failure, electrophysiology, structural heart disease, advanced imaging, and cardio‑oncology.
The institute was selected as one of just 25 U.S. sites for the STANCE coronary drug‑coated balloon trial, expanding treatment options for patients with de novo coronary disease. Through virtual programs such as Heart Success, Perfect Care, and Device Management, patients managing chronic conditions stay connected to their care teams—regardless of geography.
