Highlights
  • Join a group of 10 Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Physicians.
  • Our PCICU is a 16-bed unit that cares for pediatric patients with congenital and acquired heart disease, adults with congenital heart disease.  
  • The primary role will be to provide cardiac critical care services including management of various forms of mechanical circulatory support, collaborating with subspecialty partners and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Additional responsibilities include resident and fellow education, specifically pediatric residents, and fellows in cardiology, critical care and neonatology.
  • Clinical research opportunities are available and encouraged.

  • Advocate Children's Hospital in partnership with UChicago Medicine Comer Children's Hospital, and Endeavor Health (formerly NorthShore University HealthSystem) formed the collaborative Chicagoland Children’s Health Alliance (CCHA) in 2018 —to provide comprehensive, specialized pediatric care across Chicago and its suburbs.  Advocate Children’s Hospital is part of the third-largest nonprofit integrated health system in the United States.


Training and/or Experience Required
  • Candidates are expected to be Board Certified/ Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care or Pediatric Cardiology with additional subspecialty training in cardiac critical care, or substantial experience practicing cardiac critical care. 
  • Active IL License
