Wake Forest University School of Medicine is seeking an Academic Pediatric Hospitalist to join our team at Brenner Children’s Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC.  You will be joining a growing and highly collaborative team of 17 faculty hospitalists, 4 Advanced Practice Providers, and a PHM fellowship program.

Highlights
  • Work/Life Balance: Coverage model is a mixed in-house and home call. No newborn nursery coverage required unless physician has an interest in this area.

  • Including “bread and butter” pediatrics, co-management needs, complex care, and patients requiring our Intermediate Care Unit. Clinical work includes time on 3 inpatient teaching services with learners across the continuum. Shift responsibilities include a mix of day and night shifts.
  • With yearly hourly requirements at or below national averages.

  • Clinicians utilize EPIC EMR and leverage AI-powered tools.

Training and/or Experience Required
  • We seek applicants who value patient centered care, medical education, clinical and academic excellence, and bring a cohesive and inclusive attitude
  • Graduation from an accredited M.D. or D.O. medical school  
  • Current North Carolina medical license and BC/BE in Pediatrics
  • Board Certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine is encouraged
