Atrium Health Levine Children’s seeks a full-time, Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Nephrologist to serve as Medical Director for our kidney transplant program. Join our nationally recognized team in Charlotte, NC, and help shape the future of pediatric kidney care.

The Pediatric Nephrology and Hypertension Division currently employ 9 physicians, 3 nurse practitioners alongside a multidisciplinary team of nurses, dietitians, social workers, research coordinators and quality improvement team.   The team provides more than 1500 outpatient visits, 2000 acute dialysis treatments each year, including outpatient dialysis at a dedicated pediatric dialysis unit.  Applicants should have a strong background in renal replacement therapies and transplantation and an interest in the care of complex multidisciplinary patients.  A clinical faculty appointment commensurate with experience is available with Wake Forest University School of Medicine.

Levine Children’s Hospital is ranked among the Best Children’s Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report including Nephrology, Urology, Cardiology, and Cancer.  We provide access to a full spectrum of therapies for nephrology diagnoses including, but not limited to, acute care nephrology, kidney transplantation, extracorporeal therapies (TPE, sickle cell red cell exchange program, stem cell collection). Our team participates in national research/quality networks including:  IROC, CKID, NAPRTCS, SCOPE, NEPTUNE, CURE-GN and PNRC.

Training and/or Experience Required
  • BC/BE Pediatric Nephrologist
  • We seek a dynamic clinical leader with a passion for advancing pediatric kidney care through clinical excellence, education, and research. The ideal candidate will help expand our national reputation and drive innovation in multidisciplinary care.
