Atrium Health Women’s Care Department of OB/GYN is actively seeking a Urogynecologist/FPMRS physician to join our growing Urogynecology Division in Charlotte, North Carolina. The division currently consists of two gynecologically-trained urogynecologists and one urologist specializing in urogynecology, and we are recruiting for this faculty position to meet increasing regional demand.
We are seeking candidates with a primary surgical focus on vaginal and laparoscopic approaches. This new faculty position will serve as Fellowship Program Director, providing leadership in education and mentorship.
• Current team: 2 gynecologically trained urogynecologists + 1 urologist specializing in urogynecology, 1 PhD research assistant professor
• Fellowship-trained providers with integrated care across Urogynecology and Urology
• Well-established referral system with pelvic floor physical therapy, gastroenterology, motility, colorectal surgery specialists
• Tertiary referral center for high-volume, complex Urogynecology / Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery cases
• Excellent APP and administrative support for both clinic and surgical practice
• Onsite urodynamic facilities
• Provide exceptional clinical care in all aspects of Urogynecology Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery
• Perform vaginal and laparoscopic surgical procedures, as well as office-based procedures (e.g., cystoscopy, Botox, urethral bulking)
• Participate in medical education of fellows, residents, and medical students
• Lead fellowship academic / simulation curricula, Fellows’ Clinic, fellow recruitment, fellow/resident mentorship, and program development in conjunction with OBGYN residency
• Board Certification in Urogynecology Reconstructive Surgery (OB/GYN tract)
• Eligibility for a North Carolina Medical License
• Demonstrated passion for clinical excellence, teaching, and teamwork
• Program leadership/educational experience preferred
