Atrium Health Women’s Care Department of OB/GYN is actively seeking a Urogynecologist/FPMRS physician to join our growing Urogynecology Division in Charlotte, North Carolina. The division currently consists of two gynecologically-trained urogynecologists and one urologist specializing in urogynecology, and we are recruiting for this faculty position to meet increasing regional demand.

We are seeking candidates with a primary surgical focus on vaginal and laparoscopic approaches. This new faculty position will serve as Fellowship Program Director, providing leadership in education and mentorship.


 

Highlights



       Current team: 2 gynecologically trained urogynecologists + 1 urologist specializing in urogynecology, 1 PhD research assistant professor

       Fellowship-trained providers with integrated care across Urogynecology and Urology

       Well-established referral system with pelvic floor physical therapy, gastroenterology, motility, colorectal surgery specialists

       Tertiary referral center for high-volume, complex Urogynecology / Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery cases

       Excellent APP and administrative support for both clinic and surgical practice

       Onsite urodynamic facilities

       Provide exceptional clinical care in all aspects of Urogynecology Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery

       Perform vaginal and laparoscopic surgical procedures, as well as office-based procedures (e.g., cystoscopy, Botox, urethral bulking)

       Participate in medical education of fellows, residents, and medical students

       Lead fellowship academic / simulation curricula, Fellows’ Clinic, fellow recruitment, fellow/resident mentorship, and program development in conjunction with OBGYN residency


Training and/or Experience Required

       Board Certification in Urogynecology Reconstructive Surgery (OB/GYN tract)

       Eligibility for a North Carolina Medical License

       Demonstrated passion for clinical excellence, teaching, and teamwork

       Program leadership/educational experience preferred
