The Atrium Health Department of Urology is part of Atrium Health/Advocate Health, an innovative healthcare organization committed to providing health, hope and healing in our communities. We are a growing academic department, with its own residency and fellowship programs, that provides comprehensive treatment of urologic conditions to patients of all ages. We are committed to Being the Best Place for Care for patients, and the Best Place to Care for our healthcare workforce and teammates. 

We are seeking a BC/BE Urologist with strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a close-knit, community oriented setting to join a team of four new Urologists. We are seeking faculty interested in general urology practice as well as those specializing in urologic oncology, reconstructive urology and/or urogynecology & reconstructive pelvic surgery (URPS). AH Urology Cabarrus is a brand-new practice which is part of our urology faculty program including 18 faculty encompassing the breadth of urologic care and a fully accredited residency program with two residents per year as well as a Urologic Oncology Fellowship. As part of the Department, all faculty will have the opportunity to participate in weekly Urology education conferences, which foster continuous learning, collaboration, and professional growth. Additionally, the Urology Residency Program reflects a strong institutional emphasis on education- creating a rich, academic environment that benefits the entire care team. The interested candidate will have the opportunity to participate in research and education opportunities and specific projects to advance the care of urologic patients across the system. Our leadership structures align community urology faculty with mentors locally and across the region and facilitate pathways to impact positive change.  In addition, the AH Medical Group is renowned for its advanced programs around physician leadership development, physician well-being and career development. Priority will be given to applicants with a strong commitment to resident training.

  • Atrium Health Cabarrus is a 457-bed not-for-profit acute-care teaching hospital located in Concord, North Carolina, about 20 miles northeast of Charlotte. It is the only hospital in Cabarrus County, serving as the region’s primary referral center for a population of roughly 618,000 across Cabarrus and surrounding counties. 
  • Atrium Health Cabarrus is also a teaching hospital, hosting the Cabarrus Family Medicine Residency and a sports medicine fellowship, and it houses the Cabarrus College of Health Sciences on its campus.

Training and/or Experience Required
  • Be Board Certified/Eligible in Urology
  • Be academically oriented with a strong interest in resident education
