- The Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital is a 176-bed Level II acute care community hospital
- You'll benefit from working with a highly skilled and experienced team with good support from colleagues, the cardiovascular service line, and the organization
- Excellent staffing, as vascular surgeons are supported by an MA and clinic as well as Advanced Practice Professional and a Physician Assistant; The APP and PA will assist with inpatient rounding, new consults, triage calls, in-basket messaging and follow-ups in clinic
- Anticipated weekly schedule will be 1 day in clinic, 1 day in the OR, 1 day in the cath lab, and you will partner with the wound clinic on the 5th day
- Robust referral base from within the local area and a loyal patient base
- Call will be 1:3
- All equipment available on-site
- Tremendous variety with the opportunity to do a wide range of procedures
- EPIC EMR
- Be part of an integrated nationally recognized organization with physician-led medical group and embedded service line
- Leverage access to DAX Copilot, an AI-powered clinical documentation tool integrated with Epic, streamlining clinical workflows by generating draft patient notes for efficient review, editing, and signature
- Experience an environment that provides safe and equitable care for all patients
- Completion of a general surgery residency program and vascular surgery fellowship OR completion of an integrated vascular surgery program
- 3-5 years of experience preferred but will consider all candidates
- Collaborative team player
- Strong ability to mentor and guide other surgeons
