- Admission of new patients to the Malignant Hematology / Cellular Therapy and Solid Tumor Oncology inpatient services and cross coverage of admitted patients
- The average census between the combined services is approximately 30 patients with an average of 3 admissions per night
- Covering providers are given thorough sign-outs going into each shift, and there is always robust back-up with on-call inpatient Attendings available for assistance
- Physicians at Levine Cancer Institute see a broad range of hematologic and oncologic disorders and are at the cutting edge of novel therapies for these patients. As such, the patient population is diverse and interesting.
- Nocturnists cover 7 days at a time, starting at 9pm on Monday through 7am the following Monday
- BC/BE in Internal Medicine
- Interest in working with acutely ill hematology and oncology patients and/or interest in infectious disease
- Willingness to work night shift
