We invite Board Eligible/Board Certified Hematology/Oncology physicians to discover all that we can do when we bring healing hearts, inquisitive minds and progressive visionaries together in our Hematology/Oncology team at Atrium Health Levine Cancer. 
Highlights
Levine Cancer Institute, a part of Atrium Health, is currently seeking a Hospitalist physician to provide night coverage for our Malignant Hematology / Cellular Therapy and Solid Tumor Oncology inpatient services at our main campus in Charlotte, NC. 
  • Admission of new patients to the Malignant Hematology / Cellular Therapy and Solid Tumor Oncology inpatient services and cross coverage of admitted patients 
  • The average census between the combined services is approximately 30 patients with an average of 3 admissions per night 
  • Covering providers are given thorough sign-outs going into each shift, and there is always robust back-up with on-call inpatient Attendings available for assistance 
  • Physicians at Levine Cancer Institute see a broad range of hematologic and oncologic disorders and are at the cutting edge of novel therapies for these patients. As such, the patient population is diverse and interesting.  
  • Nocturnists cover 7 days at a time, starting at 9pm on Monday through 7am the following Monday

Training and/or Experience Required
Qualifications: 
  • BC/BE in Internal Medicine 
  • Interest in working with acutely ill hematology and oncology patients and/or interest in infectious disease 
  • Willingness to work night shift
