Highlights
Join a growing group of Community Gastroenterology Physicians dedicated to high-quality patient care.

The team includes:
6 full-time GI physicians
6 full-time Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)

Access to:
Ambulatory Endoscopy Centers (ASCs) in Forsyth and Guilford counties
2 hospital locations: High Point Medical Center and Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center
Collaborative relationship with 20+ faculty physicians at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC

Practice Expansion:
The Community GI team is expanding to a new medical office locations Winston-Salem in 2026

Schedule & Hours:
Office/Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Endoscopy Hours: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM (based on location)

Call Coverage:
1:6 nights/weekends at High Point Medical Center
Daytime hospital work partially covered by a dedicated GI hospitalist
Call will be equally distributed as the group expands

Patient Volume:
Procedure Days: 15+ patients/day
Clinic Sessions: 7–10 patients/session

Clinical Responsibilities:
Hybrid Case Model:
GI physician assigned to hospital consults
Supported by a dedicated inpatient APP
Procedure Mix:
Outpatient hospital cases
Inpatient cases in a dedicated endoscopy department
Procedures Performed:
Full range of GI Endoscopy
Upper (e.g., EGD) and Lower (e.g., Colonoscopy)

Training and/or Experience Required
  • Graduation from an accredited medical school as an M.D./D.O.
  • Successful completion of Internal Medicine residency at an accredited healthcare institution.
  • Successful completion of Gastroenterology Fellowship at an accredited healthcare institution.
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology from said residency.
  • Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License as a current M.D./D.O.
  • Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing required.
