- Clinical Focus: The ideal candidate is able to treat comprehensively treat conditions within sports medicine, particularly those related to the knee, hip, and shoulder.
- Teaching Responsibilities: Medical student, Orthopaedic resident & fellow teaching, clinical and laboratory research opportunities expected. Serve as Liaison for rotating medical students and residents on service.
- Call Expectations: Call duties are in alignment with other orthopaedic hand surgeons do not exceed 4-6 nights of general call at a Level One Trauma Center.
- Collaboration: 6 partners, 2 fellows with total 90 faculty in Department for seamless referrals and collaboration.
- Support: Benefit from the support of advanced practice providers (APP) and active clinical support
- Head team physician with coverage of Winston-Salem State University Athletics, local Forsyth and Davie County Schools, and other emerging opportunities. Secondary Roles within in Wake Forest University Athletics.
- EPIC EMR
- Be part of an integrated nationally recognized organization with physician-led medical group and embedded service line
- Leverage access to DAX Copilot, an AI-powered clinical documentation tool integrated with Epic, streamlining clinical workflows by generating draft patient notes for efficient review, editing, and signature
- Experience an environment that provides safe and equitable care for all patients
- Eligible for NC Medical License.
- Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery with a fellowship training in Sports Medicine.
- Strong background in clinical outcomes and translational research with track record of grant funding and peer-reviewed publication.
