About the Hospital:

Atrium Health Union West is a 40-bed hospital located in Matthews, NC, serving a rapidly growing market. The facility has future growth plans and currently includes:

  • 8-bed LDRP maternity floor
  • 10 emergency department bays
  • 4 ICU beds
  • 4 operating rooms
  • Endoscopy and comprehensive imaging services

 

The medical office building offers primary and subspecialty care, including a cardiovascular clinic with cardiology and vascular specialists, echocardiography, stress testing, and vascular imaging.

Just 12 miles southeast is Atrium Health Union, a 175-bed hospital in Monroe, NC, providing comprehensive adult and pediatric emergency services and specialty medical care. This campus features a day surgery center, cancer treatment center, long-term care facility, behavioral health center, specialty care clinics, a community wellness and outreach program, a women and children’s center, an interventional heart program, and physician practices

  • Call Schedule: 24-hour shifts - 84 per year (approximately 7 per month)

    • 1 Certified Nurse Midwife

  • Deliveries: Current average of 75 deliveries per month
