Highlights
The Department of Ophthalmology at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a full-time Surgical Glaucoma Specialist to join our dynamic, collegial, and rapidly growing faculty team. Our department includes 23 faculty members who collaborate across subspecialties to provide exceptional clinical care, advance research, and shape the next generation of ophthalmologists.

About the Glaucoma Division:
Our glaucoma division consists of three fellowship-trained glaucoma specialists and one faculty member with combined pediatric and pediatric glaucoma expertise. Due to sustained growth in both clinical and surgical demand, we are excited to expand our team with another dedicated surgical glaucoma specialist.

We are deeply committed to education and scholarly growth. Our department supports various residencies and fellowship programs. 

Faculty enjoy extensive opportunities for resident and medical student teaching, participation in clinical research and industry-sponsored clinical trials and collaboration within a supportive academic community

Training and/or Experience Required
  • MD or MD/PhD
  • Board certified or board eligible in ophthalmology
  • Completion of fellowship training in medical and surgical glaucoma
  • North Carolina unrestricted medical licensure or eligible
