This successful practice currently has 3 surgeons and 2 APPs. We are looking for a surgeon with a team mindset, interest in urgent/emergent general surgery and who wants to make an impact in a rapidly growing suburban community near Charlotte, NC.
Atrium Health Union is a 175-bed hospital in Monroe, NC, providing comprehensive emergency services and specialty medical care. The campus offers a variety of medical services, including full radiology services including interventional radiology, gastroenterology, full blood bank support, day surgery center, cancer treatment center, long-term care facility, behavioral health center, specialty care clinics, a community wellness and outreach program, a women and children’s center, interventional heart program and physician practices. Over the past 100 years our hospital has been serving the Monroe area, which has experienced 15% population growth over the past 5 years.
Freestanding emergency rooms within Atrium Health provide added access to patients and surgical consultations to all locations. Atrium Health Union supports one freestanding emergency room as well as Atrium Anson, which is a 15-bed critical access hospital.
- We serve the Union County community including Monroe, Waxhaw, and Indian Trail.
- Looking for a dynamic, proactive surgeon who is ready to engage with referring physicians.
- Call schedule of approximately 4 weeknights a month, no more than 1 in every 4 weekends
- Emergency General Surgery program embedded in an established practice
- Four operating rooms including one with a DaVinci Robot
- Providing surgical care for Atrium Union Hospital as well as a freestanding ED and a critical access hospital nearby
- Community surgeons integrated into Atrium Health system initiatives, providing access to resources and opportunities for professional development
- Qualified candidates must be BC/BE in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery
