Atrium Health and Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, part of Advocate Health—one of the largest nonprofit integrated health systems in the country—is seeking a Wound Care Physician to join our growing wound care programs in North Wilkesboro, Charlotte, and surrounding communities.

Highlights
Position Overview
This role focuses on the evaluation and treatment of complex acute and chronic wounds, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care. Physicians will practice in advanced wound care centers offering comprehensive healing solutions, including hyperbaric medicine.

Research and academic opportunities are available through integration with Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
Training and/or Experience Required
  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in an approved medical or surgical specialty
  • Active or eligible North Carolina medical license
  • Experience in wound care management required
  • Fellowship in Hyperbaric Medicine or Training (preferred)
  • American Board of Wound Management – Certified Wound Specialist Physician (preferred)
  • UHMS Advanced Training in Hyperbaric Medicine (ATMO) (preferred)
  • Willingness to complete required wound care and hyperbaric coursework if not already trained
