- Part-time (.5) acute care surgeon
- New acute surgery program will cover Aurora Medical Center Oshkosh, an 84 bed and Level IV community hospital
- You will join an established team of skilled surgeons and enjoy not only supportive partners but also an experienced team of APC’s who will provide additional support in a robust practice environment
- Patients come first with a calming environment; patient rooms have views of the surrounding gardens, and wooded land
- Responsibilities include 6 24-hour shifts / month to cover same day emergency general surgery; can do more if needed.
- Flexible schedule - may do 6 consecutive days or split; one weekend/month is required, and 1 holiday/year.
- Weekends are Friday 7 a.m. to Monday, 7 a.m.
- Will be onsite suring the day, evenings, you do not need to be onsite however you must be within 60 minutes response time when on-call
- You will also do inpatient rounds on the acute care service; acute and follow-up clinic for your own patients
- Responsibilities are flexible but include rounds, new inpatient and urgent outpatient consults, urgent/emergent surgeries
- This is an ACS only position, 100% inpatient, with no significant elective surgery responsibilities
- Call coverage on off days will be provided by rotation of surgeons in the existing group
