- Our current team is comprised of 10 Academic Generalists and 3 Academic OBED Hospitalists who educate, supervise, and provide patient care alongside resident physician.
- Advocate Christ Medical Center (ACMC) is a level 1 trauma center, 802-bed non-profit teaching hospital located in Oak Lawn, a south suburb of Chicago
- ACMC is one of the largest maternity programs in Illinois with around 4,000 deliveries each year
- Work (173) 12-hr shifts per year, including nights/weekends/holidays
- Strong OBGYN Department with 85 board-eligible/certified physicians representing all OB/Gyn subspecialties (including Academic Specialists, MFM, Gyn Oncology, REI, Urogynecology, and Complex Family Planning) providing care to a diverse patient population.
- Established teaching program for more than 50 years with medical students and residents (16 OB/Gyn residents on site).
- New affiliation with Wake Forest University School of Medicine providing faculty development and professional development opportunities.

- Be part of an integrated nationally recognized organization with physician-led medical group and embedded service line
- Leverage access to DAX Copilot, an AI-powered clinical documentation tool integrated with Epic, streamlining clinical workflows by generating draft patient notes for efficient review, editing, and signature
- Experience an environment ensuring safe and equitable care for all patients
- Inpatient Obstetrics: This position would primarily serve in the obstetric emergency department at CMC which cares for over 8000 patients per year. We supervise residents and medical student.The OBED physician works closely with the OB hospitalist to cover care on Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and OBED units. We also supervise CNMs on Labor and Delivery. We perform approximately 1400 deliveries per year and manage both high-risk and low-risk patients. Our Maternal Fetal Medicine faculty are available 24/7 and manage the Antepartum Unit.
- Inpatient Gynecology: Overnight and on weekends, the in-house attendings supervise residents in the care of our inpatient gynecology service and consultation service, including performing urgent/emergent gynecologic surgeries such as laparoscopy for ectopic pregnancy and ovarian torsion, or dilation and curettage for early pregnancy loss. A Generalist who manages the Benign Gyn service during the day is available for emergency back-up.
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification/eligibility in OB/GYN
- Current or recent academic experience is strongly preferred
