- This ambulatory focused position offers the opportunity to be part of a respected team dedicated to patient-centered care.
- Brain Health is an Enterprise priority for Advocate Health. There is the opportunity to contribute to the development of new Brain Health programs.
- Active amyloid-antibody infusion program
- Active CMS GUIDE dementia care program
- Biweekly educational conferences and case discussions sponsored by the Memory Center and opportunities to teach residents.
- Option of protected time to participate in clinical trials and investigator-initiated research.
- Option for collaboration with the Wake Forest Alzheimer’s Disease Center.
- Leadership development opportunities through Advocate Health
- Option for limited inpatient service if requested (Neurologists only)
- Our Memory Center is supported by experienced physicians, neuropsychologists, research staff, and social workers, fostering a collaborative environment for comprehensive dementia care.
- Provide compassionate care for patients with Alzheimer's and other dementias, supporting their care partners.
- Engage in clinical, educational, and research activities to advance dementia care.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to offer holistic and integrated care plans.
- Main memory center site is adjacent to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. Physicians also participate in limited outreach at satellite clinics in other Chicagoland locations. Practice locations open to discussion.
- Educate families, colleagues, and staff across the system on dementia care practices.
- Board Certification in Neurology with fellowship training/UCNS Board Certification/Eligibility in Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry.
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine, or Family Practice with fellowship training/Board Certification/Eligibility in Geriatrics.
- Board Certification in Psychiatry with fellowship training/UCNS Board Certification/Eligibility in Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry
- Neurology candidates pursuing Behavioral Neurology certification through the practice track will be considered.
- Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a team-based environment.
